A consummate professional who combines big picture perspective with exceptional execution, Cathy Ackerman has a reputation for helping companies identify new areas for expansion and innovation.

Her impressive skill set has been honed over 20 years of working for both large and small MedTech companies, as well as strategy consulting experience within the healthcare sector. Prior to co-founding CrossCut Partners in 2012 she spent a decade at BD, including leadership roles in marketing, strategic planning, and business development. Earlier, she was a consultant for The Wilkerson Group/IBM Consulting.

Prior to business school, Cathy worked in a sales, marketing, and clinical capacity for a small development stage medical device company, Imagyn Medical, Inc., and in sales and sales management at Baxter Healthcare.

Cathy holds an M.B.A. from The Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University.

A strategic thinker and superb tactician, Anne Miller specializes in commercializing new healthcare technologies and markets. She leverages her extensive business and technical expertise to help companies accelerate the course between R&D and market launch with a track record for success.

During a consulting career spanning over 20 years, she has facilitated the development of novel medical devices, surgical products, diagnostic tools, and other innovations for an array of companies — from venture-capital startups to major corporations.

Prior to consulting, Anne held a variety of prominent positions with Bristol-Myers Squibb in strategic planning and business development (licensing and acquisitions), and on an internal innovation initiative.

She began her career at General Electric Nuclear Fuels manufacturing before joining GE Lighting, and was selected for the prestigious Edison Engineering Program, GE’s initiative to develop top engineering talent.

Anne holds an M.B.A. from Harvard University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University.

From managing global product launches to redesigning organizations for growth, Krista Thompson is a proven healthcare leader with expertise in medical devices and diagnostics.

She joined CrossCut Partners in 2018 following an impressive career of over 20 years, with an emphasis on driving international growth of medical products through market development.

Krista most recently served at Haemonetics Corporation, where she was Vice President for the Global Hemostasis Management Business. Prior to that, she spent much of her professional life with BD, holding a variety of high visibility positions with ever-increasing responsibilities.

Successful at building and leading high performing teams, she recently became a certified Gestalt coach to support executives and teams to grow professionally and improve performance.

Krista holds an M.B.A. from New York University and a B.S. in Medical Technology from Indiana University. She is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation.
